2025 CSEF Applications – Close Fri 4th July

Every Victorian child should have access to the world of learning opportunities that exist beyond the classroom. The Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund helps ensure that no student will miss out on the opportunity to join their classmates for important, educational and fun activities. It is part of making Victoria the Education State and the Government?s commitment to breaking the link between a student?s background and their outcomes. (DET Reviewed 02 April 2025)

Applications are open for the Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF) to help eligible families cover the costs of school trips, camps and sporting activities.Parents/Carers must submit completed application forms via the school administration office by the end of Term 2, 2025 (Friday 4 July 2025).

Schools that submitted successful applications in Term 1, 2025 have begun receiving payments for eligible students. Payment amounts this year are $154 for eligible primary school students and $256 for eligible secondary school students.

Schools must provide application forms to families wishing to apply for assistance from the CSEF:

Eligibility

 

Families are eligible to apply for the CSEF if they have a valid means-tested concession card.

Foster parents and students aged 16 years and over who are considered mature minors and hold a valid concession card are also eligible to apply. There is also a special consideration category for asylum seeker and refugee families.

How to apply

 

New applicants should contact the school office to obtain a CSEF application form or download from the website above and return it to the administration office.

 If you applied for CSEF at your child’s school last year, you do not need to complete an application form this year unless there has been a change in your family circumstances.

You only need to complete an application form if any of the following changes have occurred:

  • new student enrolments: your child has started or changed schools this year.
  • changed family circumstances: such as a change of custody, change of name, concession card number, or new siblings commencing this year.
