We acknowledge the Indigenous lands, waters, and gathering places on which we live, learn, and thrive. We value the commitment and knowledge of Indigenous peoples, and we honour their teachings from the past that now inform our future. We pay our respects to all Elders of the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nation and extend that same respect to Elders of other Indigenous communities with us today. As a college, we make a commitment to taking a step forward in reconciliation and to the preservation of Indigenous cultures in Australia.
Newsletter Extract: A Message from the Principal Team
Dear CSC Community,
A warm welcome to all of our families and staff for 2026. Term 1 provides our school community many opportunities to build and display our College values of Belonging, Understanding, Respect and Growth. These values shape our interactions creating a learning environment that is inclusive, safe and vibrant for all. A new year brings many changes and challenges, but with our school values to guide us, we step
positively into our learning and relationships this term.
We started the school year with meetings between form teachers and families which provided valuable information and dialogue regarding each student’s individual learning and wellbeing goals for 2026. Thank you to our families for a record attendance at these interviews which demonstrates a strong commitment to our partnerships between school and home. These interviews helped us to support our year 7 students in their transition from primary to secondary schooling.
Our year 7 students have developed new friendships, routines and skills throughout this term and we are extremely proud of their application of our school values in their daily school life. We are also very proud of how the rest of our students have welcomed the new year 7 students into our community, and extend a warm welcome to all of our new families in our other year levels.
Congratulations to our 2026 College Leaders, who were formally recognised in our Student Leadership Ceremony. The Student Leadership team attended the 2026 Youth Leadership Conference and the Halogen 2026 Young Leaders Day to build their leadership skills and teamwork, and our school leaders are looking forward to working with them closely this year to continuously improve our school through the power of student voice.
Our staff have also had a busy first term as we continue to ensure that all our students are given every opportunity to learn and succeed. Our teachers have continued to develop and refine their own teaching practice through the implementation of evidence-informed, explicit teaching. They have worked collaboratively with students to receive feedback through the Pivot survey which was unpacked during feedback fortnight. This survey gives students a voice in their learning process and helps teachers to refine their lessons to meet their needs.
The recent Parent-Teacher Interviews were another opportunity to strengthen connections between school and home, and also for our students to reflect on their learning progress and goals. Conversations between students, families and teachers enable us to set goals for future learning, based on successes and challenges experienced during the term. As we look ahead to Term 2, goals set now will ensure that every student thrives.
Wishing everyone a well-deserved, safe and restful break.
The Principal Team.

SWPBS Silver Accreditation
We are proud to announce that Craigieburn Secondary College has achieved Silver Accreditation in School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS)! This milestone reflects our commitment to fostering a positive school culture where all students feel supported to learn and succeed.
At CSC, our core values of Belonging, Respect, Growth, and Understanding are at the heart of everything we do. Through SWPBS, we have strengthened our focus on clear expectations, positive reinforcement, and the merit acknowledgment system to celebrate students who demonstrate these values every day.
Earning Silver Accreditation means we have strong systems in place to support student wellbeing, behaviour, and learning, but our journey doesn’t stop here! We will continue working towards Gold Accreditation, ensuring Craigieburn remains a place where every student feels a sense of belonging, is treated with respect, grows in their learning, and understands their role in our school community.
